Physical Therapist Paul Vidal brings you his "Fitness Tips For The Fairways" brochure which offers invaluable information on stretches that will keep your body cared for before and after your golf game.
The most common golf injuries are:
- Lower Back Pain
- Neck Pain
- Shoulder Tendonitis
- Golfer's/Tennis Elbow
- Wrist/Hand Pain
- Hip Pain
- Knee Pain
Proper stretches can help to prevent the common injuries listed above and keep you on track for the season.
Front Thigh/Calf Stretch:
Place one foot on a bench or side of a golf cart and gently lean forward until you feel a stretch in the front thigh and calf of the backward leg. Hold for 20 seconds and repeat on the otherside. Try 3-5 stretches on each side.
*Proper hip flexibility will help your golf swing and also help you pick up your golf ball or squat down to access a putt.
