Alan Stalcup: CEO
Alan is a high-tech industry veteran with extensive experience in growing businesses. Prior to starting CourseTrends, Alan led the expansion of Momentum Software and the launch of the automotive industry's largest online marketing solution. Prior to Momentum, Alan has also served in leadership positions at Dell Computer and worked with Dell Ventures. Prior to his tenure at Dell, Alan worked at Accenture where he led major enterprise implementations for Kaiser Permanente, Allstate, Quest and USAA. Alan holds a B.S degree in Mechanical Engineering from Washington University in St.Louis.
Steve Bailey: Advisory Board Member
Stephen W. Bailey is a Managing Director at Carlyle primarily focused on small and middle market buyout and growth capital investment opportunities in software, systems and business services sectors. He is based in Washington, DC. Prior to joining Carlyle in 2005, Mr. Bailey served as Vice President and head of Corporate Development at Dell. Mr. Bailey is a graduate of Harvard College and the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
Brian Wood: Advisory Board Member
Brian is the Chairman and Chief Executive officer of Observint Technologies, a privately-held company focused on providing world class operations, finance, marketing, and related support services to businesses in the surveillance sector. Observint also owns and operates several surveillance hardware and software companies including Supercircuits, Security Cameras Direct and DIGIOP. Observint's majority owner is the Carlyle Group, one of the world's largest and most diversified multi-product global alternative asset management firms. Prior to joining Observint in 2006, Brian spent 18 years with Dell, Inc., where he held a variety of executive and general management roles including VP/GM of the Dell US Public Sector business and VP/GM of the Dell Large Enterprise business. Prior to joining Dell, Brian was a Lecturer at the University of Texas at Austin and an independent consultant. Brian holds a B.S. degree in Biology from Emory University and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
Warner Mizell: Chief Operating Officer
Warner Mizell is responsible for managing CourseTrends' sales, support, and technology operations. Warner has +18 years experience operating technology-enabled services companies, with market leaders such as EDS and Dell, and with early-stage growth companies such as Bluecurrent, an enterprise software/services company. While at Bluecurrent, Warner led the commercialization phase of a SaaS-oriented line of business, including implementations with BASF, PWC, JPMorgan, Citicorp, and other global clients. After earning his MBA from the University of Chicago, Warner began his career at Goldman Sachs in corporate finance.
