Established in 2003 and based in Austin, Texas, CourseTrends works with more than 2,500 clients across all 50 states.

Leadership Team


The CourseTrends management team is made up of seasoned professionals and golf enthusiasts who work to define CourseTrends as a world-class provider of comprehensive marketing solutions.

Ali (Alasdair) Murdoch | CEO

Ali (Alasdair) Murdoch is an experienced and successful business manager and entrepreneur. He successfully built and sold an eGrocery business beginning in his native, Dublin Ireland and bringing it to the US in 2002. He has worked in software sales, SaaS sales and both B2B and B2C business environments on both sides of the Atlantic. A graduate of business from University College Dublin and keen sportsman he has committed to working on his golf game which can be best described as erratic now that he is leading DSS CourseTrends.

Boots Crossley | SVP, Sales and Customer Success

Boots is a customer champion who has managed both software and services since 2000 and worked in multiple SaaS based businesses from intelligence based start ups to data analytics. After spending the first 14 years as a key member of a leading Virgin SaaS Company both in South Africa and in the USA. Boots moved to Austin and joined CourseTrends in 2014 to help lead all aspects of the B2B and B2C strategy.

Scot Forbis, PGA | SVP, Marketing and Major Clients

Scot is PGA certified. After earning a bachelor’s degree from George Mason University, he started his golf career at Heather Glen Golf Links in Myrtle Beach. Over the years, Scot has worked with Atlantic Golf and their Queenstown Harbor, South River and Potomac Ridge properties. Scot is uniquely qualified, having worked as a head golf professional, general manager and golf marketer.

Jerry Bogedain | Vice President of Engineering

Jerry has been working with software since 1999. He has worked with software in the fields of finance, law enforcement, e-commerce, manufacturing, and the military. He has worked up the whole software leadership chain from Senior Engineer to CTO. With almost a decade of software management experience, he brings both technical expertise and management know-how.

Jay Warnock | Vice President of Golf18 Network

With years of experience in tee time distribution and marketing, Jay manages Golf18 Network sales. Jay started his golf career with GolfSwitch/GolfHub, where he was involved in the development of the online tee time business and online affiliate programs. With unique knowledge of the industry, Jay has spoken to groups about tee time marketing, distribution, yield management and affiliate programs.

Robert Gryta | Vice President of Sales

Robert is a management veteran. Prior to CourseTrends, Robert worked in leadership at Legiant and ADI Time, a software company partnership. Robert also served in management at Sunset Direct. Before Sunset Direct, Robert worked with Golfsmith. Robert holds a degree in management and finance from State University of New York at Buffalo.
